D - 47370 goes away
25th May 2009

A few shots taken during May 2009 to record the passing of long time Ipswich 'gate guardian' 47370, which had stood in the same spot of 6 1/2 years, awaiting the call to the breakers yard. She was finally dragged off on the 25th May to Felixstowe, then taken by road to Thompsons of Stockton for scrapping. I couldn't believe it when the fitters actually cleaned the old girl before she went. Well done guys!
